OPRC Newletter

Saturday, June 23rd is our ride at Andy Guest State Park. We will meet at the park at about 12:00 noon for our ride. Robin Laird will meet us there and be our trail guide for the day. We won't make this a formal meeting since we are getting together on the 1st also, but of course all are welcome and we may have an informal meeting/discussion of upcoming events as we tack up. Bring your own lunch or snack, and drinks. The park address is 350 Daughter of Stars Drive, Bentonville, VA 22610-2056 for Mapquest info. Anyone coming from Berryville way can meet Kevin and I at the Sheetz at 50 and 340 at 11:00 a.m. and follow us over, but I will need to know if you are meeting us so I know to wait or not!

And, our day at the races meeting will be on 7/1 at Charles Town Racetrack. Our brunch reservation at the Clubhouse is for 12:15; each person's cost is 18.95 (plus tax, tip, drinks and of course anything else you spend on, like bets!). We are sponsoring the third race of the day, which will go off at about 1:50 p.m. It will be called the Crops and Canes Classic in our honor, and we all get to be escorted down to the winner's circle to pose with the winner and get the club's replica trophy. Guests are welcome, however I NEED A HEAD COUNT so that Tisha can make our reservations. If you are planning on coming please contact me via e-mail or phone (540) 955-4665 with a count by this Wednesday!! or I will assume that you are not attending this meeting. Please do try to come--it sounds like it will be a fun day and a fabulous brunch (visit the Charles Town racetrack website for details!). Any of you who are not members yet but would like to meet us, this would be a great occasion to come out!

Lastly, I have left a message for Samantha asking about a possible lesson either on 6/24 or 6/30; will get back to you all when she calls me back.
